Happy Follow Me Friday, everyone! The long and short of it, life is crazy and reading is my life, basically. So, yeah this feature is awesomesauce. This week the two awesome features are Kate @ Ex Libris and Kristin @ Kristin Can ReadThese two girls are just as awesomesauce as their blogs, so definitely show them some love! :D This is actually a really good question, because I've been thinking about how to revise and revamp my blog up a bit, sort of freshen it up some. I've been wanting to introduce a new feature, which I actually think is going to be a good thing, plus it will help me get some of those books on my shelves read as well. So, in no particular order, here are a couple of idea's that I have for the New Year.
Go visit Parajunkee's View or Allison Can Read, to get the deets on it and start having some fun. It's all about meeting some new people, finding new blogs to follow, and basically just having fun with awesome people.
* As I was saying above, I have been thinking for a while that I wanted to introduce a new feature here on my blog and I couldn't figure out what exactly I wanted it to be. For Christmas and not to mention right before Christmas, I received a good amount of books for review, books won in giveaways (awesome!), and books in general for Christmas gifts. It occurred to me, that I already had so many books sitting on my shelf that had been there for at least 6 months or more (some of them A LOT more) and I decided on the spot what I wanted that feature to be. Every two weeks, I'm going to be posting a review for a book that's been sitting on my shelf for 6 months or longer, and it's going to happen on Wednesday - which, I've decided to call it Retro-Wednesday. It will either be a review for a book that I've already read sitting on the shelf that I haven't posted a review for yet or it will be a book that's been sitting there that I've chosen to read along with the review books, Netgalley, and books on my Kindle. I know that there are variations of this feature on a couple of different blogs, but this is just my own version of this.
* I've also decided that I'm going to be organizing myself a lot better, as far as getting through my books for review, the ARC Tours that I'm part of, keeping up with "Retro-Wednesday" every two weeks, plus reading the few library books that I check out here and there. I'm going to sit down at the beginning of each month and organize what books I'm going to be reading for the first weeks and then I'll do this again the weekend before the third week in the month for the last two weeks. My goal is to read at least two review books whether it be a physical copy I've received or a Netgalley E-ARC, one Tour ARC, and then concentrate on my book selection for Retro-Wednesday. I'm definitely going to stick to this list, I'm not going to change it up, and I'm going to do the best that I can.
* I'm also going to try and start writing more book reviews and scheduling them to post ahead of time as well as some of my other posts, so that I can spend more time reading and focusing on writing more book reviews, dedicating myself to keep my goal for Retro-Wednesday, and visiting more of my fellow followers blogs in an attempt at getting to know them better. I think I want to take a page out of my friend Molli @ Once Upon A Prolouge book, and decide which of the meme's that I want really want to keep doing and then pick maybe one or two to do participate in every two weeks and then just alternate with them by either switching up or doing it every other week. It's getting to be a bit much sometimes and it can be overwhelming, so I need to find a way to balance all of this out.
* COMMENT MORE!!! I want to comment a lot more to my fellow bloggers blogs and get to know them a lot more than I already do. That is important, to make sure that they know how how much I appreciate that they follow my blog, that I really enjoy reading their blogs, and that I actually do read them!!!
