Question of the Week: Do you have any fun collections (other than books)?
I actually collect anything Doctor Who related, Paris France themed, or owls. I am absolutely nutty about these three things and I totally have to have them in my life, in some form. Like with my Doctor Who collection I have the comics (both Classic and New Who), some of the books (featuring the 9th and 10th Doctors), socks, a tumbler, and a little lego Amy Pond. I have a ton of different things that have owls on them and even a couple of stuffed owls. And it's sort of the same with the Paris France themed things, like recently I bought a wall calendar for the new year that is Paris themed and I also have this really pretty vintage Paris themed looking trunk that I use for storage which I got from the Meamu of Awesome last Christmas.
I am also nuts about fingernail polish, to the point where I probably have enough to open up my own salon, but hey I'm totally good with it. I am always having to do a yearly culling of that stuff because you know it can tend to go bad after a while. lol. I have all different kinds of colors and all different brands, but my favorites are OPI, China Glaze, and Orly.
I love Doctor Who! Cool choice Susan. I hope you increase your collection with many more beautiful additions this year :)

Aw, thank you. lol. I definitely plan on it for sure, I already have my eye on a couple of Doctor Who items that I want to be in my collection. *g* Thanks, so much for stopping by the blog and for the follow. :)
DeleteLove nail polish as well! Can't get enough of it. So many colours to collect hahaha. Thanks for stopping by my FF, followed back!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you for stopping by and for the follow, I hope you enjoy what the blog has to offer you!
DeleteI know, tell me about it there are way too many pretty colors of nail polish out there in the world and it's hard not to buy it all when you see them on sale, which is usually the way that I get them. lol.
OOoh nice! It's funny about owls. I've been seeing them all over the place lately! Think my mom said something about them being popular when she was a teen! Nothing goes out of style for long I guess! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!

Oh no, nothing goes out of style, it'll always come back at some point. Just look at the leg warmers that are coming back and that used to be in the 80's when it was all about Olivia Newton John. lol.
DeleteThanks for stopping by the blog, have stopped by your FF and loved what you had to say! :)
I loved Paris theme things as well. Thank you for stopping by. :)

DeleteI love anything to do with Paris, France. Seriously, it's on my bucket list, some day, one day - I have no idea how - but one day before I die I will go visit Paris.
That sounds amazing! I wish there were pictures! I love Doctor Who :) Old follower!
ReplyDeleteHere's my F&F!
I'll have to get my things out, like my comics and the other Doctor Who related stuff that I have and take pictures of them. I actually took a picture of my Doctor Who socks/the tumbler I got for Christmas, and the little lego Amy Pond collectable I got. Maybe that's something I'll do for the blog, sharing my Doctor Who and other collection stuff just to shake things up a bit and offer new stuff. :)
DeleteThank you, so much for stopping by the blog. :)
Isn't it funny how a lot of people have 'that' city they just have to collect? Mine's NY.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC follower xx
My FF
Exactly! I love anything NY too, but for me I guess I gravitate more towards Paris because it's just so gorgeous and there's something so historic about it. lol. I also collect anything Texas related too, since I live here and I've sort of added Michigan to the list too because one of my besties lives there as well. :)
DeleteAw, thanks so much for the follow, it's always nice to see a new face around. I love getting to know new bloggers and I've definitely followed you back as well.
Love those collection ideas! ESPECIALLY the paris theme! I was just in Paris about a week ago, so I can definitely see why you would want to collect things that remind you of that beautiful city xx

Oh my goodness, it's totally my dream to go to Paris one day and to stand in front of the Eiffel Tower underneath the stars and to also see the Carousel in front of it all lit up beautifully. I'll bet that it's amazing gorgeous. You are so lucky to have gotten to go there. *g*
DeleteAw, thank you so much for stopping by the blog and for the follow. I'm also following you as well and have enjoyed what I've seen of your blog so far. :)
I was not very smart this week and answered the completely wrong question but if I were to answer this question I would say my old concert tickets for definite and make up!

Haha, that's totally okay, I can get why there might be a little mix up and I liked that you answered a different question. It made it kind of fun. lol. Oh yes, definitely old concert tickets - I always keep them myself. Hee. I don't really collect make up because I don't wear a whole of it, but I do love collecting more like hoarding nail polish like a crazy fiend. lol. Seriously, I could open up my own salon. Hmm, come to think of it, I was always looking for a new job. Hahahaa.
DeleteThank you, so much for visiting the blog and for the follow. I'm really enjoying your blog as well and have definitely followed you back. :)
Loving the collections, especially the owls! :)

Amber @ Dystopian Wonders
Ahaha, oh no I love visiting new blogs and meeting new people. It's a lot of fun! Me too, I love talking about the little things in life that bring me joy like my many fandoms...though they are growing and getting out of hand sometimes. Hee. Nah, Batman is pretty cool. hahahaha. :)
DeleteThank you, for stopping back by.
I'm not a Doctor Who fan but I'm glad your are! I do love nail polish as well whenever I go to a store I go straight to the nail polishes! Their all just so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteNew follower ;)
Oh hi, thank you for the follow and for stopping by. I always enjoy getting to meet new people and finding out about them. *g* Haha, well it's not for everyone, but it is kinda fun to watch. Me too, which is exactly what I did yesterday and ended up with a new Sinful Colors one from their Sinful Shine collection and it's such a gorgeous stormy gray-ish blue perfect for Winter. lol.
DeleteAw, thank you so much for the follow, I'll be checking out your blog as well as returning the follow.
I'm right there with you with the Doctor Who stuff. It's a serious problem of mine!

Kelsey @ One Chapter Ahead
Right, ain't it though?! But, it's a huge fun problem that I have and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. *g* Aw, thank you for the lovely follow, I've returned it as well myself. :)
DeleteHere's to getting to know one another.
I haven't watched Doctor Who but I know it's super popular so you must have a lot of merchandise!! New follower :)
ReplyDeleteEileen @ BookCatPin
My collection is sort of a smaller one getting to a medium sized proportions, but I keep adding to it a little bit at a time and so far, I've been able to keep it a little bit under control. Although by the time this year is out, it'll probably be crazy nuts. You should totally check out the show sometime, it's such a great fun little thing to watch. You'd probably enjoy it! :)
DeleteThank you for stopping by the blog and following, I'm returning the favor for sure.
I feel like I'm the only person in the world who's never watched Dr. Who. I'm sure it's tons of fun to collect. :D Happy Friday! :D
ReplyDeleteOh no you're not, trust me. It is a lot of fun to collect and it's a lot of fun to watch, I highly recommend it if you've got the time. :)
DeleteHappy Friday to you too and thank you so much for stopping by the blog. :)
I really need to get into Doctor Who, but I have no clue where to start. I always get confused with the different doctors and such. Nail polish yes! I love OPI and I just started using a brand called Butter! Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
ReplyDeleteIf I were to suggest where it would be with the first season of the new Doctor Who series, with the Ninth Doctor. I can totally see how it would be easy to get confused with them, Nine and Ten were my favorites, but I do have a fondness for Eleven and Twelve, which is the current Doctor. Ooh, Butter London...I don't have any of that brand, but I do love OPI, China Glaze, and Orly. I think those are my favorite and the other day I just bought my first bottle of Essie and I really love it.
DeleteAw, you're so welcome. I always love meeting and getting to know new people and fellow bloggers. :)
Hopping through. Yay for Doctor Who! I love nail polish too. I just painted my nails a lovely blue with a Zoya bottle.
ReplyDeleteMy FF
Aw, thanks for hopping on through, I love me some Doctor Who like a fat kid loves cake! Hahahahahaha. Oooh, I bet it is really pretty. I've heard that Zoya is a really great brand, I don't have any in my collection yet but hopefully before the new year is over. :)
DeleteThank you, for stopping by the blog.
Anything with a "Paris theme" I have to get! :) Thanks for stopping by my today :)
ReplyDeleteJackie @Jackie's Book World
Me too, it doesn't matter what it is at all. I feel like I just have to have it, I've been on the hunt for the perfect Paris themed Christmas ornament and when I find one I'll definitely be ordering it. *g* Aw, you're more than welcome, I love getting to know fellow bloggers and making new friends. Thank you, for stopping back by my blog and welcome to crazy town. lol.
DeleteI hope to see your fingernails polish collection someday! I love collecting them too and I have them in mostly neon colors :P Thanks for stopping by! I'm following you back! :D
ReplyDeleteNatasha @ Dreamland Teenage Fantasy
I was just thinking about pulling out all of my polishes and putting the like brands together and all that, then taking a picture of it just so that people can see how much I've lost my mind. lol. I have a ton of different colors and brands, it's insane and I just keep buying and buying.
DeleteAw, thank you for stopping by the blog today and for the follow. I'll probably do a little more of a personal post sprinkled out over the next few months, because I want to add a little something new to the blow. Ooh, and neon colors...gorgeous! I don't know if I have any of those, maybe one on accident. But, I'll have to get more soon.
I used to watch Doctor Who on PBS when I was younger, then I just sort of stopped. I don't really know why. That's cool that you have so much Doctor Who stuff! I have the nail polish problem too. I never really thought to call it a collection, because I don't really have so many on purpose, I just can't seem to stop buying them whenever I go into Ulta. I'm a sucker for the OPI colors. I really wish they weren't so expensive. it's not so bad if you only buy a few bottles, but when you realize you've bought about 20 over the past two months...Needless to say, it's a habit my husband really wants me to break. LOL. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Following you on twitter and bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, between Criminal Minds and Doctor Who, I'm about the nuttiest person that you'll find. lol. I love Doctor Who, although this past season wasn't my favorite. It wasn't bad, but there were some things about it that frustrated me, although what can you expect when you have Moffatt at the helm?! lol. But yes, I hear you on the nail polish front. I'm not quite so bad about buying like 20 within a month or two, but whenever they're on sale like the OPI's, China Glaze, and the Orly's (when I go into TJ Max or Ross's is usually where I'll find them the cheapest) I'll splurge and buy like five or six bottles. Hahaha, my grandma is the same way...she says, you know those aren't going to last forever. Hee. :)
DeleteAw, thanks for stopping back by the blog and for the follow, hope to get to know you a little better.
Believe it or not, I have not seen Doctor Who! But I have so many friends that are begging me to watch it! I do however, have an obsession with owls; I think I must have decorated each one of my baby's rooms with an owl theme :D Have wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteAh, Love Doctor Who & nail polish!! I collect beauty samples from everywhere I can get them and I subscribe to monthly beauty sample boxes, so I have a ton of nail polish as well. (:

Oooh your Paris France themed collection sounds great!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by :)
OPI last long... it's useful to have every color. I hate getting my nails done unless I'm doing them myself, so I tend to over buy as well, lol. Thanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteI also have a lot of nail polish. I just bought a second 60pc nail polish rack! My favs are Zoya and OPI. :)
ReplyDeleteI love owls, owls hate me.
