Question of the Week: Do you post your reviews anywhere besides your blog? Where else do you post reviews?
*Suggested by: Jessica @ A Great Read
I definitely like to make sure that I'm posting my book reviews in other places, besides my blog because it helps to cross-promote the book that I've just read or reviewed and it also helps to draw new followers and readers into my blog as well. Generally I start with always making sure that I post my reviews for any of the eGalley's that I receive via the publisher through Edelweiss or Netgalley there, and then from that I branch out to Amazon, Barnes&Noble onto Goodreads, Booklikes, and I also like to link them to a board of books that I've read and reviewed for that specific year on Pinterest as well.
There have been a couple of occasion's where I've guest reviewed a book and have been able to post my review for it on the blog where I'm guesting for that day. I also try and make sure that I am using my Twitter, Facebook, and Tsu social media accounts to get my reviews out there for other bloggers and readers to see, as well as using it in a way to keep in contact with various author's and publisher's too. It's just an important part of the process and even though I may not always be the world's best at keeping up with it on a daily basis, I do try and go through once every month and a half and update things here and there as the year goes on.
So many different places. I also post on netgalley/edelweiss but had forgotten about those x) I'm more concious of the reviews that I post on goodreads. And that Tsu site looked really interesting. I have to check it out (:

I forgot about Pinterest! I post a link to my 4.5 and 5 star rated books to Pinterest too. Here’s my F&FF..
ReplyDeleteI've tried to get into Tsu, but I prefer Facebook and Twitter for my readers and I never thought of doing Pinterest! I love Goodreads because I trust those reviewers better than Amazon readers.

It is a very important part of the process! Thanks for visiting my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got lots of places. Good for you. I do promote my reviews on Twitter, Pinterest, and G+, but I don't post them in their entirety there. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great weekend! :D
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I need to start posting old reviews to Edelweiss! Another blogger mentioned she was in the process of cross posting old reviews to their site and it had me wondering if I did that, maybe I'll get better luck with all my requests!

Oh wow, I really wish I could be as organised as you! I stick to posting on my blog and Goodreads (I feel like a complete slacker now, LOL!) and then to NG/EW where appropriate. I really have to start posting old reviews to EW, I didn't know we could do that!
ReplyDeleteFollowing back via bloglovin, and I hope you have a fab weekend!

I am just starting to learn how to navigate around Pinterest :P Great answer! Thank you for stopping by my blog :D I'm an old follower :)
ReplyDeleteGood point about using social media to promote your reviews. I try, but I don't think I am very good at it. I share my posts on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest mainly. I definitely like cross-promoting books that I am really passionate about and LOVE. I just haven't been the best at using more than my blog and Goodreads. Though I am working on that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!

Tsu is great, but I find it's getting slower and slower lately. g+ is good to psot to as well, especially as it auto tags your posts.

I like the Pintrest yearly board thing. It' a great idea. I have been thinking of creating a pintrest board for my book blog for awhile. Everyone else seems to have I'm just late on the bandwagon, lol.

Happy Readings!

Wow! Sounds like all that must keep you pretty busy! The pintrest board sounds really interesting! I'm cutting back to just Goodreads and Amazon though. I'm just getting tired of trying to keep up my posting at a lot of different sites. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Old twitter follower :-)
ReplyDeleteI post to Amazon, Goodread and my blog, plus I post on social media too. It's important to get that extra exposure I feel.
