So, go check these two awesome fierce gal's blogs out and follow them!

Question of the Week: Do you own any doubles of your books? What led you to getting that second...or third or forth...copy?
Not counting the books on my Kindle, I do have a few doubles of books that I ended up with through various reasons. A few of them are ARC's that I received for review and then I ended up buying a finished copy of the book or was gifted a copy. Like, I won an ARC of Daughter of Smoke and Bone, but then for Christmas a couple of years ago I was gifted a beautiful finished copy. I'll be sending my ARC to another friend, who has been wanting to get into this trilogy. I have two hardback copies of Delirium by Lauren Oliver, because of the cover change and I'm the type of person who likes for her covers to match. I'm keeping both of them, because I thought the original cover was interesting and pretty.

I've also got two hardback copies of Stork by Wendy Delsol, one that was sent for review from the publisher and a copy that I bought myself because I don't even know why. I even have two copies of The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen, because I forgot that I had already bought a copy when BooksAMillion was having a sale and I picked the other up at a thrift store and I'll pretty much be passing that one along to my sister for a good summer read. And, finally, I have two copies of Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon, one of them is an ARC (one of the first few ARC's that I received for review) and the other is a signed finished copy that I won in a giveaway that she was hosting during a YA Scavenger Hunt.

I think that might possibly be all that I have, but I'm not even sure and so I'm not going to give you my word for sure. lol.

So, tell me, what doubles do you have n your collection of books? Leave a comment below and link up to your Feature & Follow Friday post!

  1. I haven't read a Sarah Dessen novel in a long time. My favorite one from her was Long For The Ride. Thank you for stopping by. :)

    1. Aw, thank you. I absolutely adore Sarah Dessen, I mostly love to read her books in the summer because they are just some really great fun, carefree books to read. I have four of her books in physical form on my shelf, then I have all of them on my Kindle. lol. Along For The Ride, is a fantastic novel and one of my favorites too for a great beach/pool side read. :)

Thank you, for stopping by the blog.

    1. Yeah and that's totally not counting what's on my Kindle, because essentially that would be cheating a little bit. Hahaha. Yes, they totally do, of course I am a little bit ocd in a way but still I love for my covers to match and look all nice and pretty sitting there out for display on the shelf.

Thank you, so much for stopping by I hope you have a great weekend.

  3. I can totally understand wanting to have the same kind of covers for a series. The same goes for the size of the books - why do they sometimes change the size of an edition so that there is a bump on my shelves??
Have a fantastic weekend, Suz. Happy reading.

    1. I so know what you mean, it's not just the covers that they're changing but also the size of the books too. And then, it's like the Vampire Academy series, half of it is in paperback and you can't get those in hardback and the other half are in hardback. I suppose that I could just break down and buy the entire set in the new covers in paperback but geez. lol. That's money that I could be spending on other books! :)

Aww, thank you so much for stopping back by as well, I hope you have a great weekend Lexxie! :)

    1. Aw, thank you for the sweet compliment on my post and welcome to the blog, thank you for stopping. *g* Aw, I have so many books that are duplicates on my Kindle for reasons! lol. That's why I kinda didn't get into mentioning those, but I've heard so many great things about Maybe Someday, I need to read it. :)

  5. I'll admit that I go along with cover changes...sometimes. I haven't bought the new Arcana Chronicle covers. Mostly because my copies are signed and why bother replacing them! Should I ever meet Kresley again, I'll probably buy new ones!

    1. Oh, I don't think I'd ever be able to replace the signed copies at all, so I totally get that. But, I do like for my covers to match, although that won't happen with the TVA by Richelle Mead because half are paperback and the other are hardback. Oi! And, I just don't want to buy the matching paperback set when I already have the books so I'll have to just live with that.

I can feel you! Looking at the library with all those pretty covers is wonderful! I also like to have my covers match (and preferably, with volume numbers on them, this way when I put them in the shelf, it's going to be like "Vol.1, Vol.2, Vol.3, etc...)

    1. Yes, this for sure! It especially drives me crazy when it comes to The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, because I already have all of the books in that series (half are paperback and the other half are hardcover) and I just really don't want to have to buy the whole new paperback set that matches when I already have this one. I've resigned myself to having to live with this one set unmatching. Oi!

  7. I do like matching covers! It bugs me when I have books of different sizes and covers and I have to figure out how to fit everything comfortably into my bookcases.

    1. Ooh, you should get the whole set of them in hardback. They are absolutely beautiful when you sit them up on your shelf! I absolutely loved that trilogy. I've read all of them, the only one that I need to have is the final one because I have it on the Kindle just not in hardback. That'll be my next book I buy for sure. :)

Thank you for stopping and for the follow.

  10. I only have a few duplicate copies of books as well and it's usually for similar reasons like I was gifted a copy or I have an ARC and wanted a finished copy.

    1. Yeah, that's me, but then again if you count the duplicates I have on the Kindle which is pretty much all of my books in my collection on my shelves and then some - well it gets a bit craaaaaaaaazy. lol. Thank you, so much for stopping by the blog.

    1. Me too, oh my goodness. She is such a talented author and her Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy is the best that she's written in my opinion. The covers are all so gorgeous when you look at them and I have all of them on my Kindle I just need the last one on my shelf to go along with the other's. I've read it, I just haven't bought it yet. Thank you so much for stopping by.

  13. I can see buying the finished copy if you only have an ARC. But, I'm not a big re-reader either, which is another reason I don't have a lot of books. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. There are certain books and series that I love to re-read, for nostalgic reasons and also for seasonal reasons. Like, when it's winter time around Christmas or leading up to it, I love to bust out my HP series and re-read because it just gives me the warm and fuzzies and it's so magical. Plus, the Christmas scenes in those books are beautifully written. :)

I have been meaning to get Stork, I think I ended up buying the second book.
I don't really have many multiple copies of physical books. Mine are really copies of both the e-book and the physical.

    1. I have a brand new copy (two of them actually) of Stork if you are interested in doing a book swap, I would love to share my extra copy with you so that you can have it. Just let me know. Daugher of Smoke and Bone is absolutely gorgeous, it gave me so many crazy feels it was unreal. lol. Mine too, I won't even go into my physical = Kindle so I can every single book that I own at my fingertips and then some. Hahaha. Clearly, I have some issues here.

    1. Seriously, those are some really fantastic books, I think the Daughter of Smoke Bone trilogy is the one that I would highly recommend, that and Harry Potter for sure. I always love to re-read that series during the winter especially around Christmas because of the nostalgia and the feels (warm and fuzzies). Hahaha, I have a sickness, what I think I have on my shelves I also think needs to be on the Kindle. I have tried to stop that, but eh...what can you do! :)

Aw, thank you for the follow. :)

    2. I'm still working on re-reading, there are some good books I would really like to re-read but I just can't.. I think I am the kind who needs some time before re-reading a book ^^
Speaking of HP, I am so ashamed that I just read the last one, don't know what hit me, I will have to fix this soon xP
