Cover Reveal for You Turn by Marion Croslydon & Giveaway

Okay, anyone who knows me, can pretty much tell you that I am a sucker for romance and anything Paris or vintage Paris, so I'm really excited about this book and to get to share the cover reveal and awesome giveaway! So, if guys are looking for something lustful, amazing, and full of a steamy cup of Mmm-hmm, keep reading! :)

Releasing October 6, 2014
Adult Contemporary Romance
Cover Designed by Najla Qamber Designs
Eleanor Carrington knows how to love, and to love deeply. She also knows how it feels to have your heart torn to pieces. The blue-blooded daughter of a political heavyweight, she has never wanted for anything…

… Except the love of two very different men.

She was engaged to her second lover, Joshua McBride, only to find out he already had a wife and a child. After that ego-bashing experience, she flees to Paris to stay with her self-medicated mother. While keeping her mom from popping pills like gummy bears, Eleanor launches a new, no-strings-attached life plan: sleeping around and absolutely NO falling in love whatsoever. On her part at least, because her self-esteem could do with one or two Frenchmen going un peu crazy for her.

What she doesn’t need is for Grand Amour Number One to burst back into her life. What she doesn’t need is all-American Zachary Murdoch—or a more mature and sensitive version of him—to schmooze his way into her life again.

Now a club-owner in Paris, Zach is intrigued by the troubled woman who was once the sweet girl he had to give up. Offering a shoulder for her to cry on is what he owes her. Falling for her is what he has lost the right to.

But Paris is known as the City of Love for a reason…

Will he be her turn at love?

*** You Turn is a contemporary adult romance and part of the Second Chances series. However, Lenor’s story can be read as a stand-alone novel. There is no cliffhanger. ***

Bad Boys in Romance Hard Knox Blog Hop with Nicole Williams + Giveaway

Who doesn't love the bad boys, right?! *g* I certainly do in my romance, so long as they turn out to be good guys in the end. I love New Adult books like crazy and I gobble them up, whenever I have the chance. Nicole Williams CRASH series is one that I've been meaning to get to on my list, as well as Colleen Hoover's, SLAMMED series too. So, I couldn't wait to share this with you and if you've already read the CRASH or SLAMMED series (or any of Nicole's other books), let me know in the comments below whether or not you liked it! :)

HARD KNOX

A New Series by NYT Bestselling Author
Nicole Williams

The Outsider Chronicles, #1
New Adult/Adult Contemporary
Releasing August 12, 2014
Cover Designed by: Okay Creations

Knox Jagger. The name inspires resent in every male at Sinclair University, want in every female, and contempt in Charlie Chase.

Charlie can be summed up in three words: independent, independent, and independent. To Charlie, Knox epitomizes everything that’s wrong with college males: prolific one-night stands, drunken senseless fights, and a body that hints at prioritizing gym time over study time.

As an up-and-coming writer for Sinclair University’s newspaper, Charlie’s tasked with getting to the bottom of who’s been dropping little white pills into girls’ drinks at parties. In an ocean of All-American boys sporting polo shirts and innocent smiles, Knox is the obvious suspect. As evidence piles up against the bad boy of Sinclair, Charlie becomes more and more certain it isn’t Knox. But when her drink is dosed at a party and she wakes up on Knox’s couch the next morning, Charlie’s left with more questions than answers when it comes to Knox Jagger.

How can Charlie ever hope to uncover the truth behind a guy so closed off he’s become . . .

Hard Knox.

I tell love stories with happy endings because I believe in making the world a better place, and that’s one tiny way I can make it so. Breath taking romance and adventure, that will leave you breathless.

I'm so excited to be a part of the blog tour for Fractured Soul, by Rachel McClellan. I got the chance to read Fractured Light last year and you guys, it was so good! I can't remember when I was that wowed and captivated by a paranormal story that involved aura's. Mostly it's the standard vampires, werewolves, witches, but this time it was aura's and I was just MYSTIFIED and seriously TRANSFIXED to my seat. I literally could NOT put this book down!

That's why, I'm excited and thrilled to share an excerpt from Fractured Soul with you guys and an awesome giveaway.

But first, a little background information on the Fractured Light Series...

I’m dying, I thought. This was unexpected and not at all how I envisioned my death. I was supposed to die gardening in a flowerbed as a hundred-year-old woman, not as a seventeen-year-old trapped in a lake beneath inches of ice.

Llona Reese is used to living on the run. After the Vykens killed her parents, she knew they would eventually come for her too. She can’t take any chances. But when she starts to make friends for the first time in her life, she gets careless and lets her guard down. Big mistake.

As an Aura, Llona can manipulate light and harness its energy. But if she wants to survive, Llona will have to defy the Auran Council and learn to use her power as a weapon against the Vyken whose sole desire is to take her light. Now she’s caught in something even bigger than she can understand, with a power she can’t wield, and no one she can trust, except, just maybe, a mysterious stranger.

In this breathtaking and romantic adventure, Rachel McClellan delivers a truly mesmerizing story that will keep you guessing to the very end.

To make this today's post even more fun, I have a special "excerpt" for Fractured Soul to share with you, thanks to Rachel McClellan.

BOOK EXCERPT FROM
Fractured Soul
By Rachel McClellan

The grip tightened on my chest, but it didn’t hurt as much as it should’ve. With blood running down my gown and Christian needing help, I acted fast. Taking advantage of my shorter height, I bent forward fast, flipping the Vyken over me. He landed on his back, gasping.

Before he could do anything else, I picked up his head—the feel of his matted hair and hard skull felt like a rotten melon. I twisted hard and actually laughed when I heard one “pop” after another as his vertebrae snapped. The Vyken let out an agonizing cry of anguish and pain. While he writhed on the floor, I walked to the knife and picked it up. I felt Christian’s eyes on me, but I didn’t look over.

Raising the knife above my head, I said, “Ashes to ashes,” and slashed the knife down into the Vyken’s neck. The blade slid into his pale skin and stopped only when it hit the wooden floor. His head burst first; the ashes stuck to my blood-soaked hair. I inhaled deeply and closed my eyes, feeling like I could conquer the world.

Promotional Event: Oxford Whispers by Marion Croslydon

If you enjoy your paranormal romance, with just a dash of the old South, a little Voodoo-stamped heritage, and a hauntingly troubled aristocrat then you're sure to fall in love with, Oxford Whispers. It has so much depth, incredible appeal, and a powerful rich story with ample amounts of heritage, love, and hauntingly appealing history. I promise, you will not be bored one ounce with this book. Plus, it falls into the New Adult/Mature YA (17+) category. It's a new one for me, but so far I've pretty much loved every book that I've read from that new genre.

Also, Marion Croslydon was nice enough to share a guest post and an awesome giveaway with us today!

"Fall in love for the first time...Again."

Madison LeBon is dead set against the dead.

Her fresh start at Oxford University is a brand new beginning. She finally has a chance to turn the page on her psychic powers and cumbersome voodoo heritage. Snakes, dolls, ghosts, and spirits: Farewell…

Not quite.

When the tragic lovers in a painting—the subject of her first history class—begin to haunt her, she must accept her gift before life imitates art. The lovers warn her against their own nemesis, a Puritan from the English Civil War. Unfortunately, said nemesis is now going all homicidal on Madison.

College becomes more complicated when she falls hard for Rupert Vance, a troubled aristocrat and descendant of one of the characters in the painting. With the spirit of a murderer after her, Madison realizes that her own first love may also be doomed…

Six Words for OXFORD WHISPERS
By Marion Croslydon

Oxford – I know, I know, sounds obvious since it’s in the title.  But Oxford is more than just a setting. It’s a character. Its cobbled streets, ancient colleges, cozy pubs provide the crush and color of a busy world surrounding the little dramas that Madison and Rupert are experiencing.

Reincarnation – This is something I believe in and the core of the plot. The characters in a real-life painting, The Wounded Cavalier, are given a second chance at happiness… or revenge.

Firsts – This is why I write New Adult. Oxford Whispers is about falling in love for the first time, but also leaving home for the first time and being on one’s own…

Honesty – Madison and Rupert go through a lot of troubles because they’re not honest with each other… and with themselves. The story shows how they’re learning to be true to themselves or to each other.

Grief – How to recover from loss, but also how it’s often mixed with guilt.

Romance – Again, sorry if it sounds obvious since it’s the genre I’m writing. As a writer, I’m always trying to develop a relationship from a romantic angle. Sex is important (so are sex scenes and they’re not easy to write!), but in this 50-Shades era, let’s not forget about the ‘va-va-voom’…

In addition to being an author, I work as an entrepreneur, wife and mother-of-one but spend a good deal of time with books, DVDs and listening to my mp3 player; all for the sake of inspiration, of course.

My debut series, The Oxford Trilogy, has been a blast to write because I can indulge in my favorite types of music: Country and English rock.

My main goal as a writer is to make readers dream bigger and cause their hearts to beat a little faster.

Since my writing is all about sharing dreams and stories, I love connecting with fellow readers and authors.

From some of the book reviews that I've seen for this series, it looks like it's going to super intriguing and a world of fun to read.

Book Excerpt from Fallen by Laury Falter

“So you’re warning me away from you?” I was appalled. “Then why are you doing this…guarding me at all? Why the torment? Why watch over me when you know that…that we should be more?” I felt on the verge of tears, which amazed me. How could pain be so sharp in the afterlife? “Answer me, Eran. Why?”

He sighed. “Because it is my job.”

I gasped, more offended than I’d ever been. “I’m a job to you?” I stared at him and waited for his head to rise but he refused to look at me.

“Yes,” he said weakly, defeated. His beautiful, rugged voice released as a whimper and the pain inside me grew. “You are just a job.”

I didn’t think it was possible but the emptiness I’d felt with Eran being gone those many weeks held no comparison to the magnitude of what I was experiencing right now.

I felt as if I had been gutted.

“No…” I shook my head. “I don’t believe you because you see, Eran, I can feel your emotions run through me. Whether you want to admit them or not, I know how you feel about me.”

Stunned, his head jerked up, his brilliant blue-green eyes drilling into mine.
“You feel me too? How can that be?”

“I don’t know. But I do know that I feel in you the same emotions I have.”

He groaned and turned away. “That’s not possible…” he muttered, pausing. When he spoke again his voice was strained, determined. I drew in a breath as the intensity of these emotions ran through me. “It doesn’t matter. I won’t let this happen. This will not happen…I will not let us be together.”

“Because you are my guardian? Then let me make it easy on us…You’re fired.”

“It doesn’t work that way, Magdalene,” he said, quieter but still resolute.

“I didn’t want you to watch over me, Eran. I never asked for it.”

As if he’d become an entirely new person, his reply was flat and detached.
“You’re a messenger. You require a guardian. It’s as simple as that.”

“Then we’ve just solved the issue, didn’t we?” I said causing him to finally look up. “This will be my last message. It’s from me to you…goodbye Eran.”

Turning swiftly, I walked away just before the tears came.

Fragile Book Tour Review by M. Leighton

Fragile by M. Leighton

Published: April 6, 2012
Publisher: Independent Publishing
Age Demographic: YA Contemporary
Pages: 296

Her heart, as delicate as glass. His love, as strong as steel. Can either survive life and death?

Hardy Bradford is an eighteen year old football phenomenon who has the girl, the school, the town and the future in the palm of his hand. His life is all mapped out for him, right down to who he’ll marry and how he’ll become a professional football player. It doesn't seem to matter that Hardy would’ve chosen a much different life if it was up to him. But it's not. At least not until his Miracle comes along.

The first time Hardy laid eyes on Miracle St. James, he didn’t know who she was, but he knew she was something different and that he’d never get her out of his head. And he didn’t. Now, months later, Hardy’s world is turned upside down when Miracle shows up in his class, stealing his heart and forever changing the course of his life.

Miracle’s sick. Very sick. And Hardy might be losing the only thing in his life that has ever mattered. How much is too much to sacrifice for the one you love? For just a little more time? For just one more chance? Can Hardy be the hero Miracle needs? Or is it Hardy that needs saving?

Fragile is an emotionally powerful story of love, pain, loss, sacrifice that readers will find deeply moving. It's such a tenderly written and beautifully developed story of hope in the face of overwhelming odds and sacrfice for the one you love. M. Leighton doesn't disappoint, with this charming, sad, and bittersweet tale of love. It is one of the most heart-warming novels that I've personally read in the last six months. From beginning to end, Fragile is such a wonderfully thoughtful and sweet story.
The characters are beautifully developed, the story deeply moving, and the writing just as eloquent and gorgeous as the imagery. It is just a wonderfully intimate story, that is incredibly powerful enough to move readers beyond the telling. An extraordinary journey of self-discovery, Fragile will leave readers feeling a bit melancholy yet hopeful as they turn the pages. Miracle and Hardy come alive in so many magnificent ways on the pages, that it's hard not to fall in love with these two and to want to believe in them - believe for them. It's such a great story of hope and love and so many wonderful tender moments wrapped up in gorgeous prose that you definitely don't want to miss out on.

I was born and raised in the United States, and I’ve lived in several of the fabulous fifty. Though I currently live in the deep South, I spent much of my childhood up North and hope to return there one day. A few other things about me: I believe that sometimes you have to look really, REALLY hard to find the good in people, but it's there. I believe that I'm shrinking (I swear five years ago I was two inches taller). I believe my husband is quite possibly one of the most amazing men in the entire world (I can't be sure because I haven't met all of them). I believe coffee and chocolate, when combined, could be the basis for world peace. I believe that Jesus rocks and communism doesn’t. I believe that white makes me look fat and black collects lint. I believe summer's too hot, winter's too cold and fall was made for football. I like dogs better than cats and the first movie in a trilogy is invariably the best. But most of all, I believe that love conquers all.
